Dr Zia Carrim kind personality put me at ease from our very first interaction.He gave me the confidence I needed to undergo Bilateral Cataract Surgery. I was operated by him on 18 August 2022 at Wellkin Hospital.I received Ray One EMV Preloaded IOL of Rayner (U.K.). I am delighted to have an opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Zia Carrim and his staff for diligently caring for my grandma's eye problems. They are not only very professional but always attentive to our needs and concerns.  It all happened when my grandma suddenly lost her eyesight and was blind for several weeks. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Zia Carrim, who provided us with a detailed diagnosis of my grandma's situation and suggested a combined eye surgery (due to several complications such as a tractional retinal detachment, cataract, etc).  The surgery took more than 4 hours, and the next day, my grandma was able to see the world again ! My aunt was almost losing her eyesight and was told there was close to nothing that could be done for her. Someone said something about Dr Zia Carrim and we booked an appointment for her. We felt like a surge of hope and positive energy after the 1st visit, he concluded that the eye sight can be restored with surgery. Dr Zia is a much needed surgeon for Mauritius, it is indeed a blessing to have him working back home as opposed to working in a 1st world country where he would have reached the pinnacle of his profession. Surgery for my aunt, who is 83 by the way, went like a breeze. As from the next day she started seeing better than before and the rest is history. Thank you very much Dr Carrim, you indeed are an asset for our tiny country.
